Mission & Data is the result of years of collaboration between Ari Betof and Kelsey Vrooman. First meeting as faculty of the National Association of Independent School's (NAIS) School Leadership Institute, Ari and Kelsey were paired as home group leaders to mentor emerging leaders in independent schools. Their partnership deepened as Ari invited Kelsey to be a guest lecturer in Ari's UPenn Mid-Career Doctoral course, Educational Finance and Organizational Sustainability. At the onset of the COVID-19 crisis in 2020, Ari and Kelsey's companies, Organizational Sustainability Consulting and Actionable Institutional Research and Data, respectively, collaborated to resounding success. Their co-developed, customizable financial model offered independent schools and non-profit organizations a valuable and powerful tool to confront the financial uncertainties of the moment.
Betof and Vrooman's collaboration is now an official partnership. Mission & Data merges their individual efforts to create a unified powerhouse firm that harnesses their mutual love of data and commitment to the non-profit sector to affect positive and lasting change in organizations that make the world a better place.
