Previously he spent 20 years at The Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas. Jason has a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an ME in Digital Leading and Learning from Lamar University. He holds multiple certifications including as a Registered Scrum Master and Product Owner, a NAIS Aspiring Heads Fellow, a Google Certified Innovator, an Apple Teacher with Swift Programming, and a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator. Jason has also founded conferences such as LLI Southwest, SummerSpark and TEDxYouth@Oakridge and serves on the board of the Association of Technology Leaders in Independent Schools (ATLIS).

In his time in education, Jason has been a teacher, coach and administrator. He taught technology classes to first through twelfth grade students and developed multiple new courses and programs in the Upper Schools at both Oakridge and All Saints. At All Saints these focused on opportunities for authentic learning and student agency, including the Lower School Learning Farm, MS STEM Zone, Upper School FabLab, Entrepreneurial E-Cafe, and Copper Roof Media. At Oakridge, Jason led the boys’ soccer team to the only DI State Championship in the program’s history, as well as reaching the semifinals in girls’ volleyball. In addition to strategic planning initiatives, as an administrator Jason led school-wide curriculum and professional development.

Jason enjoys developing agile approaches to system engineering and leveraging design thinking. That method resulted in a revamping of enrollment processes at Oakridge and All Saints, producing record new student numbers at both schools. As Assistant Head of School for Innovation and Learning, Jason redesigned the forecasting process in both the business office and the technology department.

A Registered Scrum Master and Product Owner, Jason has helped develop a unique approach to change management in schools. This expertise has allowed him to help lead over 35 construction projects and program initiatives across the All Saints campus over the past five years. With Jason’s leadership, the school was recognized as a NAIS Speed Innovating School, was a Lausanne Spotlight School Award Winner, and was a recipient of the EE Ford Traditional Grant.
